The Respect for
Life Booth was well received at the 2011 West Milford Autumn Lights
Festival. One lady was attracted by the sign out front which read, “Healing after Abortion Rachel’s Vineyard” which had a picture of a cross with dove and a red rose in a vase attached to the sign. Rachel's Vineyard is a weekend retreat for post abortion women and men to find healing and God's forgiveness. A man was very interested in retreats for men. A woman was looking for help for a relative who just had an abortion. Two couples were looking for information to help a friend. Two groups of teenagers, one all girls the other all boys, stopped at the gestation models and listened to a short talk on the development of the baby. Eleven people took copies of a book “How to Find Your Soulmate Without Loosing Your Soul - 21 Secrets for Women" (for a free copy, contact Dennis Guzzo on 845-477-3069). Many people passed by the booth. For some it was probably a reminder just what the choice is really about. The far reaching results of the booth are unknown. Jesus told Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska “My delight is to act in a human soul and to fill it with My mercy”. Organizer, Dennis Guzzo, thanks all those who manned the booth throughout the day - Audrey Verboys, Catherine Heaney, Dot Novak, Marge Von See, and Lucille and Dave Hardin. (see Dennis' letter) |
